Honda is a leading Japanese automaker. Honda’s founder, Soichiro Honda, originally worked as a garage mechanic, tuning cars and entering them into races. Honda is involved in artificial intelligence and robotics research. They released a robot called ASIMO in 2000. ASIMO was the first robot to ever ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange in 2002. The first automobile created by Honda was the T360 mini pick-up truck that was released in 1963. Honda was almost taken over by Mitsubishi Motors in the early 1990s.
