Potential Fuel Leak
A fuel leak may develop form the area of the fuel tank were the fuel pump cover is located.
Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2014. If you don't receive notification you feel you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Honda recall number are JD9 for inspection and preliminary part replacement and JE0 for final part replacement.
The affected vehicles are being recalled because a fuel leak can develop from the area of the fuel pump strainer cover. Parts to permanently repair this concern are not yet available. Honda will first send owners an interim letter, followed by a second letter when the remedy parts become available. Parts are expected to be available beginning in the summer of 2014. Vehicles currently leaking fuel from the pump cover will get a replacement using the part currently available. All recalled vehicles will receive a revised cover once the part becomes available.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey vehicles manufactured June 23, 2004, through September 4, 2010. In the affected vehicles, the fuel pump strainer cover may deteriorate allowing fuel to leak out.
A fuel leak increases the risk of a fire.
Parts to permanently repair the affected vehicles are not currently available. Honda will notify owners with an interim letter during April 2014. A second notice will be mailed to owners when the remedy becomes available, currently expected to be during the summer of 2014. Any vehicles that are currently leaking from the fuel pump cover will get a replacement, original cover. All vehicles, including those receiving the interim repair, will get an improved cover when they are available. Owners may contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009. The recall numbers associated with this campaign are JD9 (inspection and/or preliminary part replacement) and JE0 (final parts replacement).
