Honda Civic Recall 90V163000
Honda Recalls 1990 Civic DX and LX Sedans with Auto Transmissions for Park Lock Issue
Honda has recalled certain 1990 Civic DX and LX sedans equipped with automatic transmissions due to a concern with the park lock mechanism. Because of an improperly machined internal shaft in the transmission, the park pawl mechanism may not fully engage. This could result in a vehicle that rolls when it is expected to be in "Park," causing a possible crash or personal injury. Dealers will install an improved park pawl shaft.
