I called Honda and was advised I needed to have my driver seat belt reinstalled. The cost was just under $500. A friend put WD40 in the seat hook up and the SRS indicator turned off. This was o.k. until I was rear ended and the SRS indicator came back on. Do I put more WD40 in the hook up or is this problem something on the hidden warranty list.
I have an 02 Honda civic ex 5spd sedan. Its getting around 200k now and ive already had to replace the catalytic converter, resonator, passenger hub, ignition coils, intake, and put in a new clutch. The TOB just went on the car so now im going to have to replace the clutch again and its got me thinking whether to drop the car or put a new trans on it and keep driving it. any thoughts or suggestions? if i put a new trans on it with low miles do you think it will deteriorate the engine any? because the d17a2 thats in it has been leaking oil a lot lately which doesnt bother me too much but i dont want to trans swap it then something in the motor end up going to.

the car did run slow and did stop all together during driving., and P1298 electric load detector and failed ECM I need to pass mass. inspection in march. Sould I take it to a honda dealer or a shop? $ What is your suggestion ?
oil then the check engine came on. i tested the cel and came back with two codes p1259 and then p0420 what sould i do next
What would cause transmission failure?
Dash and tail ights go out, and 15amp fuse is blowen at the box in engine compartment.
got the 0420 code, replaced the O2 sensors as well as the Catalytic converter. The CEL turns on after driving for about an hour (going through the drive cycle as well). The car has 195k miles and most of the parts are original except the motor itself that I purchased from a recycler not too long ago with an estimated 50k miles. Not sure which direction to take to troubleshoot. Registration is expired and need to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
The engine is a SOHC for the civic in my other question.
Installed new timing componets (all) along with front eng. mount. Customer
says now has a vibe @ idle but runs great! Looked at other mounts look ok.
It does vibrate very little but cant say it was not there before the work. In gear
holding brk. with throttle engine doesn't move in drive or rev. like another mount is bad. 377,000 mi. In drive it is better than rev. I want to blame a mtr. mount but just don't see it. Any ideas.
Suddenly, a few weeks ago, my automatic door locks stopped working - I must lock and unlock each door manually. And the dashboard constantly indicates my parking/emergency brake is engaged, even when I'm driving and it is 100% clear that it's not. Any idea what's going on? And is this going to cost me an arm and a leg to get repaired?
I hear a noise when I turn my wheel all the way to right. I never hear it when I turn all the left. Sometimes I can go weeks w/o hear but then it can creep for a day or two and go away again.
