This happened once before and I move the gear shift through the gears a few times and after about 20 mins. It finally started. This time it won't start at all after 2 days trying. I am stranded.

at times when the car is in motion and brake is applied, the engine will be off and the car will stop. if you switch off the ignition and start the engine again, it starts.
My car sometimes wont start on first try. It gives me problems maybe 1 in 10 starts. It will just grind or crank like its about to start but never does. Sometimes i will have to try 2 or 3 times before it starts. Car has about 45,000 miles on it.
Not sure if its the starter or gas filter or what. I have changed the engine air filter and cabin filter about a year ago but thats it. I even took it to my local mechanic but it started fine evrytime i tried to dupl...
It stops running at a stoplight, or when I'm in park and shift it into gear after it has been ran for about a half hour. This could be a fuel filter/pump problem, but not sure. Has anyone got an answer?
as you see the mileage I think I am just about ready for this service
no noise going down street just when backing or sharp right turn. Possibly lower control arm bushings or ball joint, or strut or axle? no vibrations or shaking when going down the street.

Occurring almost daily now. Once or twice and lasts for 30-60 seconds. Usually at 45 mph or less.
