Occasionally, the anti-lock brake (ABS) warning light may illuminate. This could be due to a faulty rear wheel speed sensor. The sensor design has been updated and revised parts are available to correct this problem.

 

Plugged moon roof drains can cause a water leak inside the car. The water will usually leak onto the driver's or passenger's head when the car turns a corner.

Accords powered by the V6 engine had a defective timing belt tensioner that could result in excess "slack" in the timing belt. This could cause premature timing belt failure, which could result in serious engine damage.

Damaged engine mounts can lead to vibration and roughness felt in the steering wheel. A rattle in the dash and engine area may also be heard. Replacement of damaged mounts will commonly correct these issues.

Power door locks can activate intermittently due to a faulty door lock actuator in the driver's door.

Front compliance (lower control arm ) bushings tend to crack and break requiring replacement.

Leaking gaskets around the tail lights can allow water entry into the tail light assembly. New gaskets should fix this concern.

The radio and climate control display can go dark on some models. It will be necessary to replace the affected unit to correct this concern. Some customers have reported receiving help from Honda regarding this repair.

Some models have shift quality problems when shifting into third gear. A new "third gear set" from Honda will address this issue.

The car may drift to the right because the camber (alignment setting) is set unevenly. A 4-wheel alignment will be needed to reset the camber angle.

While the engine is cold and in gear, the car may move faster than expected when the accelerator is not pressed. A software update from Honda will fix this concern.

 

A long cranking time before the engine starts might require a PCM software update and replacement of the fuel pressure regulator.
