2009 Honda Accord Question: Hole in oil pan - chance of engine damage?

Question

car lost power -- no noises in engine - oil lamp came on - was able to start and drive 2 blocks back home. Discovered hole in oil pan at that time. Am afraid that the engine might also have suffered damage by my driving it. The Honda people service my car for a week. will use a tow truck to get it there. Any ideas on what I might do in the meantime to determine extent of problem? I'm not at all mechanically inclined. Thanks

no noise from engine is a good sign. means cylinders weren't run dry. was the hole in oil pan from external source? did you run over something maybe? if so than may be nothing wrong internally. oil pan cheap. cross your fingers, and wait for the call. lol. good luck.
