They have worked on my car for the past two years and have been very fair and direct in dealing with me. The 2002 Camry needs some special attention at times and they know my car and give me clues about what may arise and then give me the choice about what gets done. I have always felt treated very respectfully and fairly.
Before my first/only visit, a local friend of mine had told me of having being denied basic service for no apparently good reason. I, however, went anyway, and WAS treated courteously, however I wasn't prepared to spend such a premium for the convenience of proximity. I hope never to be so eager in the future as to feel the need to repeat the experience--frankly, I don't make enough to afford the luxury, and am still recovering from that, and other recent car expenses.
The reasons we're loyal customers go beyond top-notch service and competent mechanics; I always feel like I'm not just a face, but a valued human being. Over the years we've been customers, there have been several times when they have stopped and fixed something minor but vexing at no charge. And instead of stale popcorn, there's a big basked of fresh fruit!
All I wanted was an alignment which I was promised would be done by end of day. I left my car at about 1pm on a Friday afternoon and I needed to leave the next afternoon directly from work on a 300 mile trip. I got a call just before their closing time that they didn't get to my car leaving me NO time to find another shop which I certainly would have done in order to get my car back for my trip. I then had to leave my car for them to finish the next day, borrow a friends car to get to work plus that meant I couldn't leave on my trip directly from work but instead drive 20 miles back to Hoesly's to get my car putting me a 40 miles out of the way and losing all that time. But that's not the worst part. I asked them NOT to lock the keys in the car because they were my only set but they DID lock them in the car. I asked them to help me get them out but the only guy there said he couldn't. So I started calling around for a someone who could help and the cheapest I found was $60. At that point I was 3 hours off schedule for my trip ensuring I would be driving through the night on NO sleep. But just before I paid for the service the guy called me back to say the keys were never in the car! They were hanging in the office the whole time! Not only was I livid and frustrated that they charged me full price, I have ZERO confidence and will NEVER return to that place.
