1994 Dodge Ram Van B250

Question: high voltage from coil but nothing thru new distributer cap and rotor going to plugs.

van was running one day next day went out to start it nothing, when i short high voltage from coil to ground it sparks but when i try to short it from new cap by way of plug wire to ground, nothing.

    First, make sure your distributor is rotating when you turn the engine over. Next yo may have a defective rotor which is grounding the coils secondary output.

    the rotor is rotating - - i tried that with the cap removed - - i have tried two new distributor caps & rotors - - could it be that the secondary high voltage from the coil is not high enough? that it cannot be transmitted to the plug wires with sufficient voltage?
