1998 Toyota 4Runner Q&A
1998 Toyota 4Runner Question: High idle when cold. Throttle Body?
It is your Idle Air Control Valve. They stick often in Toyota. Sometimes you can spray some crab cleaner down the Idle Air Passage, but really for the most reliability, replace the Idle Air Control Valve, but, it is not cheap, say $350 plus labor. - dandd
Mine does the same thing, but its the cars way of heating up so let it its normal, it goes down after a while because if its high its going to be accelerating while in drive. - dgarci24
