Did you try replacing the fuel pressure regulator? I practically redid my whole fuel system, minus the fuel pump. But the truck rides great (granted mine is a 1994). I replaced my EGR valve, fuel pressure regulator along with a laundry list of completely unrelated things. However I have heard that sometimes excessive carbon can build up. Try the fuel injector cleanor (Seafoam works best) as a quick fix and see, if not , it might be your fuel injector. Depending on your engine.
