Jaguar XK Problem Report

Jaguar XK High Brake Pedal Effort Required to Start The Engine

(4 reports)

High brake pedal effort may be required to start the engine. Our technicians tell us if the vacuum supply to the brake booster is correct, adjusting the brake light switch and recalibrating the anti-lock brake modulator pressure sensor will generally correct this concern.

Brake locks up and engine will not start. Message flashes on dash to "push brake pedal to start". The pedal locks and you can't start the car. -
