Question: hi The starter in my car wont turn its been sitting for 3yrs

 Rookie

The car has been sitting for a long time and now its not turning the starter its just clicks for a couple of times. Do I need a new starter or can I fix the one that is bad and if so how?

    ck battery volts 1st there may not be enough volts to engage and turn starter. if you have a new battery poss starter is stuck

    As mentioned , make sure the battery is FULLY charged. If you're doing this yourself , first pull the starter and bench-test it. If the solenoid is able to be dis-assembled then, if needed you can check and clean or replace the contacts in it(if they are available-possibly from nissan or infiti.
