Audi 2002 A4, 4 Cylinder, Fort Collins, CO, March 03, 2010, 17:00

I went today and had a oil change and engine flush at jiffy lube, when i left the jiffy lube, it ran fine, then i was driving on the highway, and all of a sudden, the car jerked violently, and lost power, i got off the highway, and turned the car off for a few seconds. When i turned it back on and started driving, the car kept hesitating, and when i floored the peddle to the ground, it took awhile to get to the normal speed of 65 mph. Now the exahust sounds like it has a high performance exahust on it, (rice burner sound) and has lost alot of power. This only happens while driving, when in park, car makes no noise. What could this be??

    A loud exhaust is usually an exhaust leak. I can't explain the loss of power. I would advise AGAINST taking your ( I believe it is a 1.8 ) Turbo to a fast lube place. Have trained German Car Techs work on your car or you will live to regret it. You may already. You don't have to go to a dealer, you can go to a really good independent German Shop.

    Well, i found out that the problem was that the retards at jiffy lube, forgot to reconnect a hose to the radiator, when they did a whole engine flush, thus making the car loose its power, along with the loud exauhust, and check engine light. Car runs fine now, except now, the oil light keeps flashing at me, the oil change was done the same day the engine flush was done, but im sure its something simple now, i hope??

    the guys at these places got laid off from burger king. i hope they used synthetic oil because that is the only oil recommended for your 4 cylinder a4. go to the dealer and bring maintenance reciepts incase engine repairs are needed. you may be surprised that they may be willing to help or goodwill repairs.
