Hello , can you get the codes out of the computer??? you may be dealing with a fuel pump issue , or more likely a mass air flow sensor problem , but getting the code from the compuetr will put you in the right direction..

The light doesnt stay on to make it to the auto shop, and changed fuel pump thinking that was the problem

Hello,,, your light does not need to be on when you take it to the shop ,, the computer will store a code , even if the light is off.. Auto zone or someone that offers free diagnostics will not be able to retrieve these codes , because of the fact your car is an obd1 system.. without knowing the codes for this car and the fact you have already changed the fuel pump ... I would have to say that you are dealing with a bad mass air flow sensor,,, however not knowing all the specifics i cannot gaurentee thats the problem....

You will more than likely have to take it to a repair shop that has a scan tool in order to pull codes from the computer
