heating/air conditioning controls on 1997 Buick LeSabre

My climate control doesn't work all the time, it is stuck on defrost. How do I find the source of the problem? Already checked and replaced all the fuses I could find.

you're climate control module is bad (located behind the glove box and accessed by removing the under dash kick panel on the passenger side. Visually it has a group of colored vacuum hoses all connecting to one area of a black box. It operates with the assistance of vacuum from the motor and you'll most probably need a new vacuum hose assembly with the module. Have a professional diagnose it and replace it. It's sort of a headache to do.

I have cool air on one side and hot air on the other side. so that means the heater flap stays open with the cool air on.
