heating control valve on 2001 Toyota Celica

where is the heating control valve located on the 2001 toyota celica...how is it controled...by vaccuum or mechanically???

There is no heater control valve listed in the parts listings that I have but there is a heater control unit listed. that is where I would focus my inspection of your issue.

Heater valve I believe is in the engine compartment center rear on the firewall operated by a cable two hoses attached to it approx 3/4 inch diameter.

The heater will not heat while running around in town but if out on the highway it will heat...does it have a heater control valve .... does the water run through the heating coil all the time???
