can not change heating temp. changed from 80 degrees to 60 degrees still come out hot

Temp/blend door actuator would be the most common problem, now changing it another job.

No. It's a small motor in a plastic box that mounts on the top middle of the heater box under the dash that controls or turns the door from the a/c to the heater core. Just changed one last Friday. Have done many over the years.
