Improper HVAC Temperature and/or Air Delivery Due to Failed Mode Door Actuator on Oldsmobile LSS

One or more heater & AC (HVAC) temperature and/or air delivery mode door actuator may fail, resulting in improper temperature or air delivery. If this occurs, fault code(s) should be stored in the HVAC control module which should assist in diagnoses.

When I turn the heat on it blows cold air out of the defroster and hot air on the floor.

I can not get any air flow from any vent which means no heat. It doesn't matter where the knob is turned to- defrost, blend, A/C no air comes out of any of the vents. That is bad when you live in northern Illinois. I haven't been able to get the problem fixed because until I ran across this no one was sure what the problem was.
