Heater fan stopped working on 2004 Isuzu Ascender

For years all fan speeds except 4 worked. Recently 4 started working but I would smell a smoky odor sometimes on all speeds. Now nothing. The fan will not blow on any speed. I have checked the fuses.

There is a blower motor resistor to allow fan blower to operate at different speeds, call your dealer if they have one in stock ask them do they sell them often. Best to do proper tests on the circuit using a wiring diagram to check the motor, relay, switch, wiring and fuses before jumping to conclusions. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
