2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question: heater fan not working at all, IE no fan at all fan speeds

Question

Visitor, 5.3L V8, Hartland, WI, January 11, 2011, 08:50

this happened without any warning
the heater, or defroster, or a/c will not work
the fan control will not work at ANY Speed
not sure if it is Heater Motor Resistor Replacement or blower motor?

    common that the blower resistor under the right side of dash burns out and melts the connector as well. easy to see but if you repair it yourself, i reccomend replacing the blower motor as well. that is what generally burn up the resistor from high current draw.

    First I'd check the fuses and the blower motor directly, if they are good, than check the resistor.
