heater core replacement on 1997 Buick Park Avenue

How do you replace the heater core. I am looking for instruction to see if I could do it myself with average mechanical ability or I should take it to a garage

The heater core on your Park Avenue comes out from under the dash. There are some bits and pieces which you will need to remove to access the heater core. You may wish to invest in a service manual for your car so that you will have the detailed instructions and pictures that you will need. You can get a paper version or an online version available from www.alldata.com.

was wondering what to look for in heater controls or climate controls that can cause the car to blow cool air from floor or defroster
heater core is open and water flows thru from motor. Motor reaches 194 degrees. air can change from floor to vents to defroster and is cold in all 3 positions.
The car has been running and should be at temperature, but it only shows 150 degrees or so. SORT of cold/warm. Could my heater core be clogged or what?
