I KNOW THIS NOT THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD TO FIX BUT WHO IN RI OR MASS KNOWS HOW TO REPAIR THESE JEEPS THERE HAS TO BE A LOCAL GOOD MECHANIC THAT KNOWS ALL ABOUT THESE WHEN YOU REPLACE HEATER CORE AND OR THE AC EVAPOATOR THERE IS SOME TYPE OF DOOR OR HING IN THE DUCT THAT GETS STUCK ANYWAYS IF ANYONE KNOWS PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS

    There were many issues with the HVAC operation on the Grand Cherokee's. The Blend Air door tend to break causing loss of heat control, in the case of dual zone, one side may be ok while the other side does not react to changes. The same applied to the fresh air / recir door.
    The is a Factory Technical Service Bulletin to address this issue. It requires replacing the HVAC housing.
    TSB NUMBER: 24-002-10; GROUP: Heating & Air Conditioning; DATE: January 13, 2010 New HVAC Sub-Assembly Replaces Blend Or Recirc Door Components.

    The job on this vehicle is easier than most. It requires about 6 hours labor and a good qualified JEEP technician should easily be able to perform this repair.
