Heater blower motor resistor on 2000 Oldsmobile Alero

Does my car have to go to the shop to fix the heater blower or can it be done at home?

3 bolts hold the unit. it is under the right side of dash by firewall. drop the panel under the glove box and it is behind the blower. motor. held in by 3 7mm bolts. a bit tight but you can do it. Roy

you can do it yourself, 1 problem is that mine had water leaking into the blower motor, and actually froze up due to the cold, and kept blowing fuses until i pulled it and got the ice out, the resistor is also easy to replace, if you have any questions, email me zarr6311@aol.com
