Heater problem
2000 Cadillac Deville V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 94000 miles

To replace the heater blower motor module is it required to remove or loosen the dash board ?
We had the heater blower motor module replaced and a burnt connector terminal was repaired by a mechanic. When the car was returned to us the top corners of dash board ( both sides ) next to the windows at the were not seated properly. The two ends at the corners were loose, buckled and not connected to the car. The mechanic stated that it was that way before he repaired the car. We disagreed but he staed that he did not tamper with the dash board to replace the blower motor module .
Please advise

The heater blower motor in your 2000 Cadillac DeVille is located under the passenger side of the dash. There is no reason to loosen the complete dash board. The job is completed from the under side of the dash after removing the lower insulate panel and the clove box.
