Question: Heat on when I start car

 Rookie

I am a new owner and when I start my car the heat is always on. I know how to turn it off, but how do I get it to be off when I start the car? I always have to turn it off every time I start it.

    That is the way that climate control system is designed.
    I have a 2000 in the driveway right now and that is one thing that bothered me too. It is common to Mercedes too, they started adding off buttons recently but not on your vehicle.
