I have had this car since it was a year old. In 2003 I had the ac/heater dash switch controller replaced (not cheap-about $500?) Now in 2009 the heat/ac will not come on or even light the indicator lights on the dash control switches. All fuses seem fine. Has anyone else had repetitive problems with this or similar? sounds like same again?

Hi, did you have a problem with the controller again? If so, did they determine why? Seems like an odd problem.

If your problem consists of the outside temperature gage going blank and the blower motor not engaging as well as the compressor not engaging, I had the exact same problem, it took me 5 years to find this on the web, all the time I went without the A/C. As you can see, it was the 5th bulletin in 1999 (got my car in Nov of 1988) - You have to love how the dealers don't offer you the 'free bulletin repair'. If your car is out of manufacturers warranty, as long as you've brought this to their attention and you have documentation to the such (I have all my RA's from the dealer back to day 1), you can either get them to do it for free or for a vast discount. Even with all the documentation, I only got a 50% discount.

The bulletin # is AC005-99 and pretty much spells the problem out to a 'T'.

To correct the problem the following must be done:
    Replace #88650-41030 A/C Amplifier
Replace #87106-07050 Air Inlet Servo Motor
    Replace #87151-07010 Servo Link.
