everytime i turn my lights off on my car, they make a loud winding sound for about 5 seconds . how do i fix that and how much will it cost?

    Probably the headlight motor is beginning to fail http://bit.ly/vHoDw the dealer price is about $250 each.

    I had the same problem on my 97 firebird , it was the plastic gear . A few teeth are gone . A bout $13 at ADVANCEAUTO PARTS and i also read the gear only rotates half way so you can rotate the gear 180 degrees . if the light work and stay up , the motor is most likely good
