2002 Mazda Tribute Question: head on my 2002 tribute

how much would an aluminum head for my tribute cost plus labor if work would be done at aamco.

    The cylinder heads could cost about $500 each if they needed to be replaced but it is usually more likely that the head gaskets are replaced, the cylinder heads may need to be resurfaced and if the vehicle has higher mileage it is possible that the engine may need a "valve job " done to ensure the valve seal well. My labor guide shows it is a 16 hour labor operation to replace both cylinder head gaskets. Parts will depend on what is found upon disassemble and inspection.
