 Rookie

What kind of lifespan can I expect for my engine after replacing the head gasket, assuming the coolant system checks out fine? Will any additional stress be placed on the engine by doing so?

   Master

  If the head gasket job is done well and there has not been any damage to the engine because of the head gasket failure.

  A good repair could extend the life of the motor, because of the replacement of components.
