1996 Buick Park Avenue Q&A

1996 Buick Park Avenue Question: Head Gasket

The vehicle started missing and service engine light came on. Alot of white smoke from exhaust. Now getting hot and doesn't want to start. Is this probably a blown head gasket. If so, where can I get the head gasket replacement procedure. Do I need to purchase the manual. Older car, but only about 65k...belonged to my Mom. -

You absolutely need a repair manual: http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online Honestly, though, this is a huge job and requires a lot of expertise and tools. You are better off taking it to a shop or at the very least enlisting the help of someone who has done this successfully before. -
