Head Gasket on 1996 Buick Park Avenue

The vehicle started missing and service engine light came on. Alot of white smoke from exhaust. Now getting hot and doesn't want to start. Is this probably a blown head gasket. If so, where can I get the head gasket replacement procedure. Do I need to purchase the manual. Older car, but only about 65k...belonged to my Mom.

You absolutely need a repair manual: http://bit.ly/mitchell_repair_manuals_online Honestly, though, this is a huge job and requires a lot of expertise and tools. You are better off taking it to a shop or at the very least enlisting the help of someone who has done this successfully before.
