The cylinder head bolts are tightened in three stages, torgue all bolts down to 15 ft/lb, then tighten all bolts 90 degree, then turn all bolts a further 90 degrees.
Tighten the middle bolt in the cylinder head top, toward the intake valley, then tighten the cylinder bolt in the middle of the head nearest the exhaust manifold, next tighten the bolt toward the intake manifold one bolt away from the top center bolt toward the rear of the head. forth bolt to tighten is on bolt forward from center, toward front of vehicle exhaust manifold side of head, fifth bolt to tighten is the bolt above the bolt you have just tightened toward the intake manifold. Sixth bolt to tighten is on the exhaust manifold side of the cylinder head one bolt back form center toward the rear of the cylinder head. seventh bolt to tighten is the bolt at the rear most of the cylinder head toward the intake manifold, eight bolt to tighten is the bolt at the front of the cylinder head nearest the exhaust manifold, ninth bolt to tighten is the bolt at the front of the cylinder head toward the intake manifold and the final bolt to tighten in the sequence is at the rear most lower most corner of the cylinder head.
