Having trouble getting car out of park? on 1993 Ford Taurus

I have a 1993 ford taurus and lately I'am having trouble getting the car out of park. Afer I get it out of park it drives fine, but when I park it, it won't come out of park. I only have 47,000 miles on it. Any advice as to what this could be?

Possibly your brake light switch is failing http://partimages.genpt.com/largeimages/396284.jpg and if you have to push the brake pedal to release the shifter and this switch is going bad it won't tell the shifter interlock to release, The part is available at most autoparts stores or you can have a shop replace this www.repairpal.com/directory
