I have a 2004 Dodge Durango 5.7 liter hemi engine. For some reason it will not start. When I go to turn it over all it does is click. Can not determine if it is the solinoid, starter or gas filter. I know its a wide range there but looking for any and all suggestion.
I keep trying to start it but it does nothing but click. I have unhooked the battery for alittle bit and let it sit then hooked it back up tried to start it & all it did was click.

One way to tell the difference between a bad battery and a bad starter: If all your lights and stereo work well, the battery may still be fine. Batteries usually last between 3-6 years, so if yours is older it may need to be replaced. Just a click, instead of a weak turn-over, is typical of a bad starter. There are a couple different kinds of clicks, but based on your description it sounds more like a bad starter.
Sounds like the battery has failed and any auto parts store will check it for free, Napa, Interstate, Sears all make great batteries
