Question: having problems with my toyota camry plz help quick

i have a 1992 toyota camry it runs hot but temp gauge doesn't rise my oil light flashes then my car starts to lose power and eventually shuts down on me! then i have to let it sit for about 6 hours to cool off then it starts again..occurs about onec or twice daily!sometimes when i press on my brake padal oil light flashes constantly..please help

    This sounds serious and really needs to be checked out by a professional. There is a possibility the engine is trying to seize. Does your engine have high mileage or have a history of burning oil, loosing coolant or running hot and "pinging".Low oil pressure will cause these problems have it checked out!

    thanx autotechpat..yes it has high mileage no don't have a history of burning oil or loosing coolant or running hot!it does have a pinging noise!!got oil changed today it helped a lot!going to have it checked out thanks for your help..when u say engine trying to seize u mean give out on me?well thanks again!and my check engine light is on also!
