Woke up this morning looked out my window to see huge sheets of paint peeling off my 2008 Equinox. Confused and pissed.

The same exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago. It's on the upper rear doors on both sides and hatch door. My 2008 Equinox is white and is now grey where the paint peeled off and is now starting to rust. I contacted the dealer and they don't want to deal with the problem. I contacted GM this weekend in hopes to get some answers. Have you found out anything further and what our recourse might be? Thanks

So my white 2008 equinox has the exact same thing. Paint all peeled in the back on both sides. Took back to dealer. They told me something must have splashed on it. Seriously?? On the exact same places on each side?? I am so angry.

I am having the same problem.Looking at other responses, it is in the same exact place on the car. I will be contacting GM today. It looks like a problem with white ones.

I finally got some satisfaction from GM through my dealer. They agreed to repaint the problem area, from the seam in the panel above the doors on each side and the back of the car. I agreed to pay a $350 copay. I really should not have, but need the car fixed to prevent further destruction. It took a great deal of work on my part, but have bought several cars from the dealer and every time I got a no, I asked to speak to someone above the person I had talked to.
