Saab 9-3 Harsh Transmission Engagemnet From Park to Drive and/or Reverse

(3 reports)

A higher than normal idle speed may result in harsh transmission engagement from park to drive and/or reverse. Our technicians tell us that adjustment and reprogramming the engine idle speed should resolve this issue.

The harsh engagement occurs from park to drive only, but not from park to reverse??? I find it very strange. Isn't it? Thanks 2006 SAAB9-3, 2.0t -
