Question: Harmonic balancer seal leaking for 2nd time in two months

Had harmonic balancer seal replaced on this truck b/4 we bought it two months ago. Leaking again. What questions do we need to ask? Is this a small issue that is part of a bigger issue? Thanks. Judy

    May have been installed wrong and is now leaking. The balancer may have had a groove worn on the shaft from old seal that is allowing a leak. This could have been repaired by installing a seal saver when original work was done. Etc.

    where the seal meets the balancer shaft is worn needs a shaft repair sleve
