Hard to start engine on 2001 Ford Taurus

the car is getting hard to start most time even when it not cold. I had two advices: replace spark plug; replace a sensor, I forget which one. What's your advice?

Hard to start meaning - cranks too long before actually starting? This can be from a fuel pressure issue, an air intake issue (too much air coming in...sticking idle air control valve, etc), even a spark issue. Spark plugs can be replaced for maintenance but probably will not directly influence your hard starting. You basically need to find out what part of the equation is missing when you are trying to start the car.
