Have used Nick at H & W for several years now with both of my vehicles. His shop has always come through on getting it fixed right.
Bought a Nissan King Cab 4X4 from a lady that had several problems with the truck - she took it to the dealer a couple of times and she still had problems with it. So when I bought it I realized there were some issues so I took it to Nick and he was able to find and fix problems that the dealer either over looked or didn't care yet they charged her a arm and a leg and it still wasn't running right
Nick got it right and the truck has run great since.
H & W is one of the only shops I'd send my wife or kids to without talking to the mechanic first! Nick (owner/operator) kept our Suburban running until we sold it at 265,000 miles (one owner). He was very good about checking the GM website for recall items and extended warranty items (steering, ABS, and fuel pumps). He would actually send us to the dealer if the item in question was still under warranty or recall. You don't make a lot of money that way but that's how you keep customers. We've been going to H&W for 16 years. Their prices are less than the dealer prices and you are assured if it gets fixed it will get done right and if it doesn't need to be fixed he won't charge for a bunch of work that doesn't need to be done!
I have used H & W for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Not only do they do good work, I know they are trustworthy and won't try to repair anything that isn't broken. Pricing is fair and Nick and all his mechanics are knowledgeable and respectful. If you need a good mechanic that you can trust, H & W is the place!
My 2000 Nissan Frontier was diagnosed with a blown head gasket by a national service center chain. They do not do that type of repair work so they recommended H&W Auto Repair---didn't know it at the time, but this was a stroke of luck for me.
Nick, the H&W main man, told me from the start he wasn't so sure it was a head gasket problem and he was right!
Turned out it was a faulty $12.50 radiator cap! Big dollar difference in changing out a radiator cap versus a head gasket.
This was my first experience with H&W, but I'm sure it won't be my last! If you are looking for a repair shop with integrity--look no further, you've found it!
I took my 2012 Ford Flex in to have my brakes checked. I was told that my brakes were fine but that the rotors needed to be turned. I so apreciated the honesty of the mechanics. They also found that I needed the shocks replaced, and even though the parts had to be ordered, they were able to have me back on the road by the end of the day. I will definately take my vehicles back to H&W Auto Repair in the future!
H&W is a five star small business off of Lee Hwy. I will vouch for their integrity as mechanics. I took my Subaru Legacy to them after multiple shops were unable to detect the root problem within my belt system - they found it and fixed it promptly. I would recommend H&W to anyone looking for honest and straight answers for their auto mechanic needs.
