Hello, I have a 04 Chrysler Sebring, 6 cyl. About 6 months ago, when starting my car for the first time of the day, I started to notice a noise (not loud), the best description of this noise is a grumbling sound. At first it stopped after backing out of the driveway. It has continually gotten worse, not any louder just longer. Now the noise continues and finally stops after driving about 1 mile. The noise is not loud and I don't notice the car running any different, it seems like fine except for this noise.

Try to listen for the noise with the hood open and identify where the sound is coming from. I'm suspicious of a failing ball bearing in the coolant pump, the alternator, or a belt tensioner. I also suspect the power steering pump making noise. Check the fluid in the pump reservoir with the engine off.
