Honda CR-V Grinding Noise From Rear Disc Brakes

(6 reports)

On certain models with rear disc brakes, a grinding noise can be caused by corrosion between the rear brake caliper bracket and the brake pad retainers. Cleaning and lubricating the caliper bracket and pad retainers should correct this concern.

Rear right caliper seized. New pads both sides, new caliper and resurfaced rotors. $500.00 -
If I don't use the car daily (sits for more than a day or 2), I get a scraping noise when I apply the brakes. It seems to work itself out as the day wears on, but it's kind of annoying when it happens...sounds like somethings wrong. Isn't there a permenent fix? -
