I do not recommend them to anyone They Destroyed My 2007 GMC ENVOY!
My first contact with Greenway Plaza Tire & Auto(also known as Goodyear’s Mike’s Automotive Service Center and Waller Auto Service Centers), was about a year and a half earlier then my December 18, 2014 contact when I purchased 4 tires, didn't have any problems and was treated well. On December 15, 2014 I took my 2007 GMC ENVOY to this shop due to engine problems. They checked my vehicle and told the engine had gone out and needed to be placed. So I spoke with the Manager and she assured me that not only did they know how to replace the engine in my GMC Envoy, but that they had replaced the engine in a GMC vehicle similar to mine six months earlier with no problems.
On December 18, 2014 I agreed to let them replace the engine in my 2007 GMC Envoy, it was supposed to be ready on the December 21, 2014. My GMC Envoy wasn't ready until December 24, 2014; I picked up my vehicle late that evening and paid over $3800.00. The first thing I noticed was there were several items missing from the engine compartment, and of course the person present to collect the money and give me my keys had no clue what I was talking about. A couple of hours after I picked up me vehicle the engine light came on and stayed on.
On December 26, 2014 I returned back to Goodyear's Mike’s Automotive Service Center or whatever the real name is. They checked my Envoy, cleared the engine codes, and put the other parts back on my engine and said it was good to go. When I asked the mechanic what was the problem he said the new engine was getting use to the old electronics system on the vehicle. I left with my Envoy and later that evening the engine light came back on, so the next day I took it back to the shop again.
When I returned on December 27, 2014 the mechanic that did the engine work was on vacation. The manager assured that she had a master mechanic there and he knew exactly what to do. What he did was replace a small hose on top of the engine and some type of gasket from the side of the engine and cleared the codes again. This took almost 8 hours!!! On December 28, 2014 my Envoy started cutting out, while I was driving the engine would cut off. So on December 29, 2014 I took it back to the shop AGAIN! That was the last day I drove my 2007 GMC Envoy.
The engine went dead as soon as I arrived at their shop. First they drained my gas tank claiming that it had bad gas because of water in the tank, and then ran some type of cleaner thru the system to clean the valves. When this didn’t work they decided that it was the fuel pump, the manager came to me and promise me that it was the fuel pump. So they replace the fuel pump, not once, not twice, but 4 times. They destroyed 4 new fuel pumps claiming that the fuel pumps were bad when they got them from the auto parts store. This is when I realized that the people at the Greenway Plaza Tire & Auto or Mike’s Automotive Service Center had no clue. I asked the manager several times to bring in someone who specialize in GMC vehicles are take my Envoy to a dealer and she refuse claiming their master mechanic would fix it.
Then they decided that it was the theft deterrent system, claiming that because of the new engine the vehicle was reacting to being stolen by shutting off gas to the engine. But none of their mechanics had any knowledge of the system. The manager claimed that the master mechanic that put the engine would be back on January 5, 2015 and he would fix the problem, but if he couldn’t they would take it to a dealer. The mechanic returned and somehow while working on my 2007 GMC Envoy fuel pump he set the vehicle on fire destroying the vehicle.
When I returned to the shop on January 12, 2015 that when I found out my vehicle had been destroyed. They had already determined what price they were going to pay and refuse negotiate, telling me that my 2007 Envoy was only worth $500.00. This matter was finally settled in March 2015 but not without me the customers going thru a lot of trials and tribulation as a result of my dealings with Greenway Plaza Tire & Auto (also known as Goodyear’s Mike’s Automotive Service Center and Waller Auto Service Centers).
