Great Bear Atuo is truly GREAT! They are fast, honest, reliable and affordable. They create a warm, welcoming environment that makes you keep on coming back. Before doing any work, they will explain exactly what is needed and let you make an informed decision about your car. Many auto shops will pressure you into getting work done that might not be necessary, but not this one.

Great shop!!! I'm so glad I have found a shop where I can go and they don't tell me I need new everything!(when I know I don't) I went in with an exhaust issue that they informed me didn't require immediate attention so I was really shocked by that. They did mention new front brakes which I knew I needed anyway and ended up being about $60 less than what another shop had quoted me. And most of all, I appreciate that because I am female they didn't talk to me like I knew nothing. I can't say the same for a local FORD dealership that I will never return to (tower ford). Great Bear Auto is super fast, completely honest and very reasonably priced. I'm really happy that I can go here now and not dread bringing my truck anywhere else when it needs attention.

Lucky for me I found through recommendation Audra from Great Bear on Sanford Avenue. From the moment I walked in I was relaxed with the atmosphere and my nervousness left me. Audra explaned to me what needed to be done and what the cost would be. I had an instant bond and my gut feelng was things will be right. To this day Audra has not disappointed me and she has a lifetime customer.

I brought my car in on March 23rd for a state inspection however I wanted them to check the struts on my car. They took my car in right away, inspected it and informed me that although the struts were low that I can continue to drive because they were expensive to change(very honest). I decided to change them and I needed a wheel alignment as well. Within 4 hours I was home when I am so used to waiting days for my car. The staff were very friendly so was Shari & Audra(owner) who was intrigued on how I found her shop(RepairPal) which is great to finally find a female mechanic that actually owns the shop. I was still having problems after they fixed my car, taking it back that following Saturday and again took me in right away because they believed if they touched it, it's covered & they have to fix it. After I explained to them what I felt was wrong with the car without even interrupting me, they determined it could be one or two things however since they initially repaired my car it was no cost to me. Car now runs great for a 14 year old car. The staff did not ignore me the entire time I was there and it was talking with them liked I knew them for a long time.

I've been coming to great bear for 15 years now. why so long? becuase they truly take care of their customers. you make in walk frustrated with your vehicle not working probably, but the majority of times, you'lll get same day service and the end results are most satisfying and it will make you forget about any car problems you had. no over cahrges! no unneccessary repairs or services! And before you leave, Audra will give you some great advice on the maintanence of car. See Danny for diagnostics for your car nad Harry will make sure the job is done right. As a woman, it is always difficult to find a good mechanic who doesn't think you are completely ignorant and try to totally rip you off. So when I got referred to Great Bear Auto, I was happy to see the women who work there. Audra and Danny are very no nonsense and only does what really needs to be done and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for it. This is a very honest, dependable shop! They do quality work at a reasonable price, and they never do anything that your car doesn't need. I have brought all three of my cars to Great Bear ('07 Mustang, '68 Thunderbird, and '87 Nissan) over the past couple years, and I have never been dissatisfied. There have even been a couple times when I brought a car in for something I thought it needed and was told after they checked it out that it wasn't necessary - no charge! A definite cut above the rest as far as mechanics go...
