Keith and Joe, at Gordie's garage, went above and beyond to diagnose my problem on two different levels without the computer reading codes. All in all they: Removed all 8 spark plugs to remove the gas that had locked up my engine, changed my oil, and my fuel pressure regulator for under half of the price I had anticipated. All in all it cost $420 to get my baby back on the road.

I came in there for a specific thing and ended up being overcharged and kept an hour later to be given further estimates which I did not ask for and was not given an option of receiving.

Hi Carall, First thanks for your business and allowing us to service your Focus. I reviewed your last visit and see that you arrived at 4:45 and checked out at 5:38pm. When performing an oil change and complimentary inspection it is our goal to have you in and out in less than 30 minutes. I see this visit took us 53 minutes. I also noticed you came in for an oil change and were charged $26.86 which is our normal oil change price for your vehicle, but from time to time we run specials that are cheaper. As you know we perform a complimentary maintenance inspection during our oil changes. When your vehicle came in it had 161,000 miles so the number of failed inspection items was higher than the average vehicle. We take the blame for the extra time it took to estimate such repairs and will do a better job to communicate completion times if you choose to use us again in the future. I will be sending you a complimentary oil change voucher in the mail to compensate for the extra time it took. We appreciate your business. Call us for an appointment...30 minutes in and out...I promise.

I paid $80 for an inspection which included headlights , fluids, etc... they checked everything off as being good. The headlight went out a few days prior and all the fluids were low the day after severvice... they did find a coolant leak from the radiator and water pump and estimated almost $1000.00 for the repairs. Why are they doubling the price of each part ?! I did the job myself within 3 hours with all lifetime warranty parts for $230.00 ! We will never go back ! I found an honest place one mile from them.

Hello John. First I would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to service your vehicle. I would like to respond to your comments to hopefully bring some understanding to others who may be reading this. First, I would like to respond to what you were charged for during your visit. Your van came in for a basic oil change and complimentary maintenance inspection. You were charged $18.99 for the oil change and $47.36 for the inspection of the coolant leak. This brought your invoice total to $70.69 including taxes. You were charged $47.36 not $80 for the inspection. Next, when your vehicle came in and we found the causes of the coolant leaks we did in fact top off the fluid. Because of the leak though there is a possibility the coolant may have been low the next day. As far as the lights we have a process that when the vehicle pulls in we go through all the lights. There are instances when lights work and at times they don't work...especially headlights. Being that your vehicle had over 204,000 miles on it that is a good possibility. If we see something wrong we point it out. We have no reason not to. If we did miss it, it was an honest mistake and we apologize for that. Lastly, I would like to address the pricing. You were quoted as follows: To replace the water pump, labor, coolant and taxes $192.84. To replace the radiator, both hoses, labor, taxes $583.00. That totals $775.84...not $1000. As you know there are many different levels of parts quality and we only use the best so we can give you a part and LABOR warranty. I can assure you we don't double our parts. We just use higher quality parts than you purchased for $230. The reason I know this is because I cannot purchase the parts we quoted you for $230 and we have built purchasing power over the past 34 years in business that assures we can buy competitive. We never claim to be the cheapest on every repair and we never claim we are cheaper than if you do it yourself at home. As with any business we have overhead and employees to pay and we stand behind all of our work. What I can guarantee is we do honest work at a competitive price compared to other authorized repair facilities and if there is a problem we stand behind our work. I am happy you were able to save some money and do the job yourself. If there is anything you need assistance with in the future we are here to help.
