new alt and battery , charge not getting thru to battery , had alt rechecked its good and battery is new and also good

    Well, obviously something isn't quite right here! What is your alternator amperage (peak) and voltage (peak) output?

    When you say it goes dead, is it after the car sits a while, or right away? If it is after it sits, you could have a parasitic draw taking the battery down.

    Check your cable connections all the way around too, as they can have poor contact at times.

    stays good over nite , and runs for awhile during the day .if you drive at nite it slowly gets weak lights start to dim a, until finally just shuts off and wont even turn over then

    You absolutely have an alternator or voltage regulator problem (which is internal to the alternator). There is nothing else that could allow the battery to lose charge and allow the vehicle to lose electrical power and die while driving. Like I mentioned, find out what your alternator peak amperage and voltage regulator peak voltage is. Should be measured at 2000 RPM.

    my car only goes dead when i turn it off. the battery is good the lights come on, there is a noise that begins when i try to start car
