I have a 2000 Honda Accord LX with around 129,000 miles. It is completely up to date on maintenance and oil changes. My problem is that if the car sits for more than an hour or so I have a problem when I first start driving. When I am speeding up and the gears change from 1st to 2nd it will either get stuck and I have to let off the gas to get it to change gears, or the car will SLAM into the next gear and lurch forward. I have checked the oil levels and transmission fluid levels and they are fine. Is this a transmission problem? Anybody want to take a guess at what it might be and the cost to repair? Thank you so much!

there is a throttle cable that can be adjusted. take it to a shop and see if they can do it for you.
