no cluth slppage and no problems shifting gears but suddenly stick shift wants to pop out of gear when car is accelerated. only able to operate vehicle by keeping hand on shift lever with constant pressure.

MasterIt could be a shift cable or linkage problem but more likely to be an internal transmission problem where the gear hub is not kept engaged to the gear. Transmission removal is most likely required.
