gas tank on 2000 Chevrolet Impala

i'm having problem with my gas tank sometimes when i put gas in my car it will not take gas. it won't take it like car is full but its not. i have to wait til my car can take the gas before i put some in it what could it be

there is a vent soloniod that should be normally open with the car off so the air can escape when fueling. take it to a pro and have them check and see if it is a problem. Roy

I just looked up recalls for Chevy Impala and there was some recalls. you might would want to check it out. They also have contact numbers.

FOR EXAMPLE: I just filled up the tank-my gauge indicates maybe 1/4 tank-I drive 2 miles-gauge...
Gas gauge is not working. How do I know if there is a problem with the gauge or with the sensor? Also, is there a fuse that could cause the gauge to malfunction.
when i try to fill my impala, the pump shuts off. i have to use a gas can and pour gas in very slowly
