Gas smell and check engine light on on 1999 Lexus ES300

I smell gas inside the car when running and the car loses acceleration at times when coming to rest. It also idle rough at times. I have had numerous repairs done on it as far as fuel injector, knock sensor, camshaft sensor replacements. I have had a large vacuum leak supposedly fixed. Could this be the problem still. I have had my mechanic work on my car for years but I think I should take it to the dealership. Just trying to save money. Help please!!

You probably won't save money at the dealer but you could see what they say to get a feeling for how they'll treat you I'd say find a Toyota or Lexus specialist. Here's a directory link for you: http://repairpal.com/directory?address=48180&car_brand_names=Lexus
